  • Information about your Black Opal Partners transactions, including information obtained through those companies that work closely with us to provide you with diverse financial products and services.  This information may include account balances, trading activity, loan amount, and payment history.
  • Medical information, if relevant to your product or service, may also be obtained through third-party reports.
  • Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.
  • Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on applications or other forms (such as from current and past employers or other institutions where you conduct financial transactions).

Parties to Whom We May Disclose Information

We do not share customer information with outside companies for the purpose of selling their products and services to you.

Any information that we, or our affiliates, obtain from you is used only to help you acquire the investment, advisory, or insurance products that you desire from the companies you choose through our representatives.  The personal nonpublic information obtained in this process will only be provided to nonaffiliated companies who have custody of your assets, prepare statements and transaction confirmations for your account, or provide credit reporting information.

In certain instances, Black Opal Partners will disclose nonpublic personal information when permitted or required by law.  Parties that may receive this information include government/regulatory organizations such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and to other parties under court order or subpoena.  We are also permitted to make disclosures to third parties per your request, direction, or authorization.

Medical/Non-Medical information may be provided to insurance companies and agencies in order to underwrite or shop policies for reduced policy costs.  This information is only released with your permission.

We transfer information about you if Black Opal Partners is acquired by or merged with another company.  In this event, Black Opal Partners will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Opting Out of Third-Party Disclosures

Black Opal Partners may update this policy.  We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary mailing address on file for your account(s) or by placing a prominent notice on our website.

We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to your Black Opal Partners service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and Newsletters, that are considered part of your Black Opal Partners account(s), without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
